Chamomile German Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Matricaria chamomilla L. – syn. Matricaria recutica,
Chamomilla recutita, Matricaria recutita

History of Chamomile Blue
Though native to Europe, Chamomile Blue grows rather easily around the
world. With bright yellow centers and white petal “rays,” their
flowers somewhat resemble little suns. Perhaps this is why ancient
Egyptians associated Chamomile with their sun god! Later on, Chamomile
Blue was used as a secret ingredient in love potions because it helped
soothe occasional nervous tension. Even today, this well-known herb is
highly regarded as a shining star among the world’s greatest plant
species.

Plant Part: Flower head

Extraction Method: Steam distillation

Description: Also known as “German Chamomile,” Chamomile Blue grows
abundantly throughout Europe, North Africa, and Asia. It grows taller
than Roman Chamomile and produces more petite daisy-like flowers with
pointier petals. Chamomile Blue German Oil is considered to be a
stronger oil than the Roman variety for aromatherapy purposes. True to
its name, the oil has a rich blue color.
